Government Reshuffle: Gareth Bacon MP appointed Under-Secretary of State in the Ministry of Justice

 In this week’s government reshuffle, Gareth Bacon MP was appointed Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State in the Ministry of Justice with responsibility for sentencing. Gareth was elected as the Member of Parliament for Orpington in December 2019. As Minister for Sentencing his responsibilities will include: sentencing policy; the Sentencing Bill, illegal migration, electronic monitoring, and the prison and prisoner escort and custody service (PECS).
