The Sentencing Academy is pleased to announce a new annual prize for the best Masters level dissertation relating to sentencing research, policy and / or practice in England and Wales.
The winner will receive a prize of £250. Applicants may have studied a Masters in any discipline but the dissertation must be concerned with sentencing. The dissertation may have been submitted for examination in either the 2020/21 or the 2021/22 academic years.
The prize panel comprises:
Professor Gavin Dingwall, Professor of Criminal Justice Policy, School of Law, De Montfort University Tim Hillier, Head of the School of Law, De Montfort University Dr Carly Lightowlers, Senior Lecturer in Criminology, University of Liverpool
Please submit an electronic copy of the dissertation along with a completed copy of the application form to info@sentencingacademy.org.uk by 3 October 2022.
